About Me Ken Craymer

Hi my name is Ken Craymer

Coming up to 45 years of age and work for an international book publisher. My work takes me to Europe and occasionally North America which is where my University-level qualifications in modern languages, gained while serving as a Linguistic Weapon Systems Operator in the RAF is vital, I would not have got my present job without it.

I have always been interested in flying, important really as my job entails me flying on business regularly. I suppose it all started with the Falklands conflict, admiring the exploits of the Harrier pilots and the outstanding journeys performed by RAF pilots on their journeys of nearly 8000 miles to bomb the runway at Port Stanley, with the ascension Islands as a stopover, it was then I decided to give up my ‘dead end’ job and join the RAF. This was a bit of a disappointment to my father as I come from a long line of seafarers, which might account for my love of cruising holidays, but it was my life and my decision.
Although I am not a ‘geek’, with my RAF background of flying in Nimrod aircraft and the position that I held, I suppose that it is natural that I simply love gadgets and I just have to have the latest ‘gizmos’ like my mobile ‘phone not forgetting my iPod classic, which if I knew the right codes and combinations, has probably enough capacity to launch a space shuttle!

I love travel, which is probably as well as I spend most of my time living out of a suitcase and working in foreign countries, the beauty of it though, is that I get paid for doing what I like. Flying around in a modern airliner, is about as far from spending time in a Nimrod as you can get. If schedules permit I prefer flying with BMI, and I get great benefits from the Diamond Club. Maybe it’s just me but I feel that I seem to get more personal attention with them, could be because I fly premium economy which is great. However when the CEO is with me we use business class and that is really different!
Well that’s just a little of my background, perhaps I have just told you the best bits, but you wouldn’t want to know about the other side would you? Who knows, bits may occur from time to time.
